No, not that LA – Louisiana. As we prepare to leave, I have high expectations. I expect to see God working in the lives of young people. I expect to see young people from different backgrounds and cultures working side by side to help others, and develop respect and love because of it. I expect these relationships to continue as we return to Bowling Green. I expect this to be yet another step in our goal of bringing everyone to unity in Christ Jesus. I expect to be stretched – physically, emotionally and spiritually. Most of all I expect to be amazed by God doing wonderful things that I cannot even ask or imagine.

As I have these expectations, I try to remain free of expectations in regard to our first hand experience with the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. I want to view it all with an open mind and no preconceptions. I haven't thought about what it will be like or how it will affect me, and therefore I hope to have a genuine and honest reaction rather than trying to make my experience fit my expectations.
