Who gets to say that one person is right and everybody who disgrees is wrong? How do you tell someone that just because they are older and in a position of (dare I say it) power that they aren’t always right? How do you politely say that if you are so convinced that you are right you should provide some rationale for your position? How would one tell someone else that if you are so smart why are we having so many problems?

There has got to be a middle ground! There has to be some way in which two (three?) groups with different ideas but the same goal can get together and come to a conclusion. Continuing to abide by the rules of one group at the expense of the others leads to resentment and bitterness. Doesn’t the Bible say that we are to submit to one another in love? Not that once you have a position of supposed authority (let’s talk about that some other time) that you no longer have to listen to anyone else.
