Three weeks ago we were just a little family of four, rolling along and making plans. Then everything changed. Since then we have completed months and months of paperwork, rearranged our house, and completed our family vacation to North Carolina. Now we are back home, about to pack a bag for the hospital, not knowing what to expect or when to expect it, and honestly feeling a tad numb about the whole thing. By numb I don’t mean that we are not excited. It is more of a stunned, overwhelmed, I-don’t-know-what-I-am-doing kind of numb. So now we wait for the second call in less than a month that will change our life forever – or at least for twenty days (that thought is always out there and makes this WAY more complicated than it was already).

So stay tuned. We expect the baby – our baby!(?) – to be born within the next few days. You’ll be the first to know, so keep sitting at your computer screen, hitting refresh every 10 seconds or so, and refuse to eat or sleep in anticipation. That’s pretty much what we’re going to be doing.
