A few weeks ago I was taking something to a potluck at church. I hate to just heat up something from a can, and I was looking for something that would both spice up a can of baked beans and for which I had all of the ingredients. I have made this again since, and I absolutely love it.

1 large can pork-and-beans (I used Bush’s Baked beans both times)
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 green pepper
1 onion
1 cup brown sugar (I was out of brown sugar and used white sugar instead and it was fine)
1 cup ketchup
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
Dash of garlic powder

Brown ground beef with onion and pepper. Drain. Mix with rest of ingredients and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
